What makes our community so different (and we like to believe amazingly better)? Yes, our Lower Pac Heights location is hard to beat. And naturally our cuisine, menu, and made-from-scratch favorites always impress. All well and good but if you dig a bit deeper you’ll find that the Rhoda Goldman Plaza’s reputation is defined in the details. Those seemingly “invisible” amenities and features that make our residents’ lives so much better, each of which offers a more buoyant and elevated perspective for the people who live and work here.
The Art of Living.
Indeed, that is original art showcased on our walls, from paintings to limited edition prints. You’ll also find curated photography finds a receptive audience here at Rhoda Goldman Plaza. The idea is simple enough: art should be part of our lives. So we make it our passion to discover artists who imbue our community with the work that lifts, elevates, and perhaps even surprises. By the way, colorful and fresh, we take great pleasure in personally creating the fresh flower arrangements in our lobby and dining room.
Did We Mention The Dining Room?
Social, special, and designed to complement the fabulous food that comes out of our respected kitchen. Some have said our dining room is San Francisco’s best-kept secret. Location, design, and menu are happily in concert to always provide residents and their families with menu selections that reward even the most ardent foodie. Daily specials, resident favorites, and the skill of turning out fresh, made-from-scratch and responsibly-sourced menu selections is a point of pride with all of us at Rhoda Goldman Plaza.
What A Difference A Staff Makes.
With an unprecedented staff to resident ratio and very little turnover, our residents and staff really get to know each other. And our senior community is the better for this re-assuring feeling of familiarity. Greeting a resident by name and asking about a loved one, their family and friends is part of the social and community fabric that builds emotional well-being and security. And, in fact, of our total staff, 40% are caregivers so each resident know they’ll receive the care they need, when they need it. We’re also happy to be the only community where our Executive Director actually lives on our campus 4 days a week. Again, one little detail that underscores our dedication and commitment to our people and place—residents know that we are here for them and really listen to what they want, need, or would even like to see changed. It’s all part of how communicate in building a better community.
