How Do You Measure Value?
Most of us weigh the price for goods and services compared to like-minded offers. This gives us a pretty good idea of the “value” we can extrapolate for the money we spend. In the Assisted Living and Memory Care Community category this becomes a bit more complicated. There is so much to consider when evaluating the cost of entry, the monthly costs and anticipated annual cost of living raises. Not to mention location, apartment size, staff, services, food, housekeep and maintenance, personal services, transportation, and daily care.
% Annual Increase at Rhoda Goldman Plaza.
While it is standard to raise monthly fees annually to cover increased operational costs, we’re happy to report that our Rhoda Goldman Plaza community has a 0% increase as of July 1, 2020. We’ve worked the numbers and we were able to pass along savings yet still offer the litany of services and amenities and of course, still provide one of the highest staff-to-resident ratios, nearly 1:1. This means that Rhoda Goldman Plaza is once again, providing true value to our residents and their families. Nicely, you’ll also take comfort in knowing our staff has been with us on average of 10 years. So, we too, are just like family to our hardworking, courteous staff. They know we treat everyone with the respect, dignity and honor they deserve.
Making The Dollar Go Further.
Operational costs of a premier assisted living and memory care community represent a complex and intricate balance of cost-of-goods that requires a sharp pencil and a proven background. Happily our management board, and staff are all working together to bring out the best. So we look at apartment floor plans, dining menus, healthcare, social activities, and how to best offer an expanding list of services which complement our residents’ needs. We weigh the cost benefits. We project costs, and we take a hard look at what we can do for the dollar. It’s an ongoing process but we know that to offer our residents and their families the promise of unsurpassed assisted living and truly memory caring community life, we’re happy to do it. It’s just one more reason we can always promise that “Here, you’re like family.”
